Happy five years to us!

We are celebrating five years honoring the legacy of Charles Rennie Mackintosh with a three-day celebration at Mackintosh at the Willow. The weekend promises an array of engaging activities, guided tours, artistic workshops, and live performances that showcase the spirit of Mackintosh’s artistry and vision.

The celebration kicks off on Thursday, September 7, and extends until Saturday, September 9. Each day is packed with unique experiences designed to immerse visitors in Mackintosh’s world of innovation and creativity. Take a look at what we will be offering below!

Adult Art Workshops: The Glasgow Style – Make a Handbound Book and Debossed Cover with Toben Lewis

Saturday 28th October ~ 1030 – 1600hrs  £90.00 per person

Learn book-binding techniques and create a final design with a debossed cover with tutor, Toben Lewis. The workshop begins with a tour of our historic building, followed by the book-binding workshop, and a break for soup and a sandwich, with tea or coffee.

Adult Art Workshops: The Glasgow Style – Make a Lithograph with Aoife McGarrigle

Saturday 11th November ~ 1030 – 1600hrs  £65.00 per person

Learn how to produce lithographic posters in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, with printmaker, Aoife McGarrigle. The workshop begins with a tour of our historic building, followed by the lithography workshop, and a break for soup and a sandwich, with tea or coffee.

Workshops are suitable for children 5-12 years old, but all are welcome. Places are limited and booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All children and any adults wishing to make an object must have a booked paid place, but adults solely accompanying a child do not need to book paid places.
