Win tickets to Glasgow Cathedral Festival!

We’ve teamed up with the wonderful Glasgow Cathedral Festival team to offer a fantastic prize experience worth over £120!

Glasgow Cathedral is one of Scotland’s most magnificent medieval buildings with wonderful architecture and heritage. Glasgow Cathedral Festival is an annual celebration of art, music and culture showcasing the rich Scottish and international talent through music, film, recitals, tours and this year, an exhibition on Scotland’s most famous architect designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

We’re offering you and up to 3 friends the chance to enjoy entry to our exciting new interactive Exhibition at Mackintosh at the Willow, where you’ll hear more about the story of Glasgow, the rise of the Tea Rooms and the important collaboration between tea entrepreneur Miss Catherine and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. After exploring the Exhibition enjoy your choice of tea or coffee and cake in the original Willow Tea Rooms Building, now fully restored and open under our new name Mackintosh at the Willow.

In the evening enjoy a concert of sumptuous music in the Cathedral (with free drinks at the interval) to complete a lovely day for you and three others as you listen to Brahms’ Liebeslieder Walzer performed by four of Scotland’s best young singers, accompanied by piano duet, telling the story of the Nature of Love

Announcement from Mackintosh at the Willow.

We’re happy to update you, that in line with government guidance and further clarification, our tearooms is still open to the public. We are closely monitoring the ongoing situation and will continue to act according to government guidelines.

Our tearooms opening hours remain the same, 12noon until 5pm.

We’ll continue to serve up delicious cakes, coffees and teas to anyone who wants to catch up safely with one other household (of up to 6 people) in a beautiful spacious environment. For now, we are not serving alcohol in the tearooms, much like Catherine Cranston in 1903 – who was a firm follower of the temperance movement!

If you don’t feel comfortable visiting, but still want to treat yourself to a delicious afternoon tea, keep an eye on further updates as our takeaway afternoon tea’s and celebration cakes are launching very, very soon.

As always, we have stringent measures in place to help protect you and our staff and you can view on our bookings page.

You can make a booking online on our reservations page, by emailing us or by giving the team a call on 0141 204 1903.
