Training & Development
As a non-profit social enterprise, our focus is on providing training and opportunities for our young employees as well as preserving and sharing Scottish heritage through our education programmes.
Over the next few weeks we will be updating you with the progress we’ve made through our outreach programmes, staff training and development and work with schools and local communities. This means you can see first hand where the money from that cup of tea you purchased has gone.
To begin, please meet Chloe. Chloe has been with us for well over a year now and is a valued member of our team. She had just completed her Hospitality & Front of House training before we closed, where she impressed by developing her already brilliant hospitality skills to the next level and worked towards successfully gaining her SVQ.
Well done Chloe! Chloe had begun the next step of her training by embarking on ‘Training in the Hospitality/Tourism Industry’, where she will have the opportunity to work in various areas of the business to ensure professional and personal growth while developing new skills and knowledge.
We currently have 10 members of staff, both in the tea rooms and kitchen who joined us from the Princes Trust, who have been working towards gaining this higher education qualification. Although we are currently closed, we can’t wait until we’re back open and able to continue to provide these valuable opportunities to our young team.
You can find out more about what we’ve been up to and how you can help us to continue to support our young staff and protect the legacy of Miss Cranston and Mackintosh by clicking this link:
